Happy Teacher’s Day 2023 Wishes: Every year India celebrates Teachers’ Day on September 5, the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India. On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the government felicitates teachers who have done extraordinary work in their field.
The National Awards to Teachers were first instituted in 1958, the guidelines were revised in 2018. This year, 75 teachers will be awarded and the President will confer the awards. The event will take place at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

The 75 teachers include— 50 school teachers, 13 teachers from higher education and 12 teachers from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Each awardee will receive a certificate of merit, a cash award of Rs 50,000 and a silver medal. The Prime Minister will also interact with the awardees
