Mysuru: The University Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre (USIC) at JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER) will conduct a two-day hands-on workshop on Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting on February 24 and 25, 2026.
Organised in collaboration with JSS College of Pharmacy and supported by Spinco and Sony, the programme is designed to familiarise participants with advanced single-cell analysis technology widely used in biomedical research and diagnostics.
The sessions will include lectures, live demonstrations, and laboratory-based practical training covering instrument setup, sample preparation, experiment design, data acquisition and analysis. The workshop will also offer direct interaction with industry experts and scientists working in genomics, immunology and related research fields.
The organisers say the initiative aims to bridge the gap between theory and application, especially since access to advanced cell-sorting instruments is limited in many institutions. Participants will also receive certification upon successful completion of the programme.
