Hands on Training on Excel and Financial Literacy at CUH

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Central Library conducted Hands on Training on Excel and Financial Literacy for University Students of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh with the blessings and direction of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar.

 

Haryana: Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Central Library conducted Hands on Training on Excel and Financial Literacy for University Students of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh with the blessings and direction of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar. The Registrar, Prof. Sunil Kumar inaugurated the program and applaud the library staff for this initiative to improve the skills of university students. He added that financial literacy is the knowledge of managing finances, debt, investment and savings. This education enables us to make informed decisions, which have a direct relation to our financial stability.
The training sessions were taken by Prof. Vipin Khurana, Program lead at ICFAI Business School, Gurugram. He covered the topics like data analytics using Excel, SPSS, R programming, Data Regression and Financial management. The University Librarian, Dr. Santosh C. H. said in today’s scenarios data handling and organization is quite important. Whether it’s the finding of arithmetic solutions, data formatting, data analysis by charts or human resource planning, Excel plays a great role in business, finance and in daily lives. The Deputy Librarian, Dr. Rajeev Vashistha told that being a university stakeholder, we must be aware about the financial literacy which is very important for any individual financial growth. 
The program got coordinated by Dr. Vinita Malik, Information Scientist with the due support of Mr. Naresh, Dr. Vinod and Library team members. Around 110 university students from various university departments like Management Studies, Commerce, Engineering and Education actively participated in the event. The training program got conducted in coordination with ICFAI Business School covering the aspects related to Microsoft Excel and financial literacy which proved very beneficial to each and every participant.
