Gurugram - The Gurugram University, through its Department of Law, will organize its 1st International Conference on 09–10 April 2026 at its campus in Sector-87, Gurugram, Haryana. The conference, themed “The Constitution in the Courtroom: Navigating the Interplay of Criminal, Corporate, and Civil Law in the Age of AI,” aims to examine how Artificial Intelligence is transforming legal systems while testing constitutional principles such as equality, privacy, and due process. The event will be held in hybrid mode, enabling both offline and online participation.

The conference will cover six major thematic areas including Constitutional Foundations & Fundamental Rights, Criminal Law & Justice, Corporate Law & Compliance, Civil Law & IPR, Future of the Legal Profession & Ethics, and Regulation & Global Perspectives. Discussions will focus on issues such as algorithmic due process, AI in sentencing and forensic evidence, AI-driven corporate governance, intellectual property in AI-generated works, AI regulation models (including EU and US approaches), and India’s prospective AI regulation framework. Selected papers will be considered for publication in conference proceedings or an affiliated law journal.
All participants are required to complete the registration process for the conference. The registration fee for both single authors and co-authors is ₹800 for students, ₹1300 for research scholars, and ₹1800 for academicians, policy makers, and professionals. An early bird discount of ₹300 is available for registrations completed on or before 31 January 2026. The registration fee includes meals and refreshments on the day of the conference; however, travel and accommodation expenses must be borne by the participants. Attendees are required to carry a valid government-issued ID along with their registration confirmation (digital or print) on the day of the event. The conference is being organized under the leadership of Chief Patron Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, Vice-Chancellor; Patron Dr. Sanjay Arora, Registrar; Mentor Dr. Neera Verma, Dean, Faculty of Law & Humanities; Conference Convenor Dr. Kanu Priya, Chairperson, Department of Law; and Conference Co-Convenor Dr. Komal, Associate Professor, Department of Law. The conference is expected to bring together advocates, judges, legal academics, AI ethicists, policymakers, and law students to deliberate on the constitutional and regulatory challenges posed by Artificial Intelligence in India and beyond.
