Ahmedabad: Students of Gujarat University affiliated colleges preparing for the upcoming semester examinations will soon have to complete their examination form process. The university has released the schedule for its September-November 2026 examinations, with the first phase of online examination forms set to begin on August 27, 2026. The schedule covers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes being conducted under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The university issued the examination circular on August 25, 2026, outlining the form submission deadlines, examination fees and tentative examination dates for different semesters. For students whose examinations fall in the first phase, the regular deadline for submitting examination forms is September 5, 2026. Those who miss the deadline can submit their forms with a ₹500 late fee until September 11. The examinations for this group are tentatively scheduled to begin from September 19.
Gujarat University Exam Form 2026: First Deadline is August 27
The first set of examination forms will cover several CBCS Semester 6 and Semester 3 programmes, including B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., BBA, BCA and other courses. While the university's examination-form portal will open on August 27, the actual deadline for colleges to complete the regular-fee process is September 5. The late-fee window will remain open until September 11. The university has advised affiliated colleges to complete the online process within the prescribed timeline and submit the required documents and student lists to the university.
More Exam Form Windows Scheduled in September and October
The examination-form process will not end with the first batch. Gujarat University has announced separate schedules for students belonging to different semesters and programmes. For several CBCS Semester 5 and Semester 1 programmes, forms will be available from September 1. The regular deadline is September 10, followed by the ₹500 late-fee deadline of September 18. The examinations for these programmes are tentatively scheduled to begin from September 30. A further phase will begin on September 17 for several NEP-2020 and postgraduate programmes. Students in this group will have until October 5 to submit forms without late fees and until October 12 with the prescribed ₹500 late fee. The examinations are tentatively scheduled from October 22. Another major group of examinations is scheduled later in the cycle, with the examination-form process beginning on October 12. For these programmes, the regular deadline is October 30, while the late-fee deadline is November 5. The examinations are tentatively expected to begin from November 18.

Examination Fees Differ Across Courses
The examination fee is not the same for all programmes. According to the university's course-wise schedule, students of B.A. and B.Com. have a total examination fee of ₹300, while the total fee for B.Sc. is ₹400. For programmes such as BBA and BCA, the total examination fee is ₹575. Students enrolled in B.Sc. Fire & Safety have to pay ₹1,075, while the fee for several postgraduate programmes, including M.A., M.Com. and M.Sc., is ₹575. The fee may also include a practical examination component wherever applicable.
Repeater Students Must Submit Previous Marksheets
The university has issued separate instructions for students appearing as repeaters. Such students must attach copies of the marksheets of all previously passed examinations with their examination forms. The university has stated that forms without the required documents will not be accepted. Colleges have also been asked to verify the details entered in the examination forms before forwarding them to the university. This includes checking the student's name, subjects, photograph, enrolment number and other details. The circular states that the university will not be responsible for errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete information submitted by the institution.
Students With Pending Internal Exams Also Need to Fill the Form
Another important instruction applies to students who have already cleared their university external examination but still have an internal examination pending. Such students will also have to submit the examination form for the concerned semester. Gujarat University has specifically stated that these forms will not be accepted after the university examination has started. Students should therefore check their examination status with their respective colleges before the relevant deadline.

Students whose examinations fall under the first phase should contact their college and confirm their semester, programme and examination-form schedule before August 27. Since the form submission is being handled through the university's prescribed online process, students should also ensure that their personal and academic details are correct. With different deadlines announced for different semesters, students should not rely on a single general deadline.
