New Delhi : The GSK Scholars Programme 2025-26 has been launched to support academically strong yet financially challenged students pursuing first-year MBBS degrees from government medical colleges in India. This initiative aims to ensure that students from underserved backgrounds can continue their medical education without financial burden.
Eligibility Criteria
Students must meet the following conditions to apply:
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- Must be enrolled in the first year of MBBS at a government medical college in India.
- Should have scored at least 65% marks in Class 12 board examinations.
- Annual family income must be below INR 6,00,000 from all sources (as per the programme description).
- Children of GSK employees are not eligible.
Scholarship Rewards
Selected students will receive annual financial assistance up to INR 1,00,000 to cover essential academic and living expenses, including:
- Tuition fees and exam fees
- Textbooks and study materials
- Hostel and mess charges
- Participation in academic seminars
Remaining funds may be used for:
- Stationery
- Online learning resources
- Internet/data expenses
