Goa University to Host Workshop on Legal Empowerment of Tribal Communities

The one-day workshop on 18th January will focus on legal challenges, social inclusion and strategic approaches affecting tribal communities.

Goa: The workshop is being jointly organised by the Manohar Parrikar School of Law, Governance and Public Policy, the UGC Centre for the Study of Social Inclusion, and the D.D. Kosambi School of Social Sciences and Behavioural Studies. They are also in collaboration with the Directorate of Equal Opportunity Cell and the North Goa District Legal Services Authority.

Scheduled to be held at Om Shri Shakti Vinayak Devasthan Hall, Divar (Tiswadi), Goa, the programme will begin at 9.30 am. The event aims to explore the intersection of law and society with a  focus on the empowerment of tribal communities through legal frameworks and policy interventions.
