Goa: Goa University has announced openings for 10 Junior Research Associate (Language) positions to work on the research project titled “VIDYAAIPATI: Bidirectional Machine Translation Involving Bengali, Konkani, Maithili, Marathi, and Hindi” under the National Language Translation Mission (BHASHINI). It is funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

The positions are based at the Computer Science and Technology Department, Goa Business School, Goa University.

Key points:

• Duration: Two months or till completion of the project (extendable)

• Fellowship: Rs 40,000 per month

• Essential Qualification:

  • MA in Konkani or BA in Konkani with minimum five years’ experience in translation/lexicography/grammar

  • OR any graduate degree with five years’ experience in Konkani translation/lexicography/grammar.

Interested candidates must appear for a walk-in interview on January 13, 2026, at 9.00 am at the Goa Business School, Goa University. Applicants are required to email their application and scanned documents and bring original certificates at the time of interview.
