Goa to Set Up Foreign Language Institute, Offer Training for Youth

Goa plans to start foreign language training and set up an institute to help students access global education and job opportunities.

Goa: The Goa government will soon begin foreign language training programmes for students and job seekers, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on Wednesday.

He said Goa will soon get a foreign language training institute to help students pursue global opportunities, especially in medical education. Scholarships will also be introduced for deserving students.

He said the aim is to help young people in the state improve their chances of getting jobs abroad. Learning foreign languages can make it easier for them to find better work opportunities.

The training will be introduced through government-supported institutions. Efforts will be made to make these courses available to students across Goa.

Sawant said many Goans look for jobs abroad, and language skills can help them adjust and work more easily in different countries.

The initiative is part of the government’s plan to focus on skill development and make students more job-ready.

More details about the courses and when they will begin are expected to be announced soon.
