Patna: The PhD Admission Entrance Test (GPAT)-2022 in Gopal Narayan Singh University in Rohtas district of Bihar has been revised to March 26, 2022. 

The online application submission was also extended till March 22. The admit card for the admission Entrance test will be issued on March 24. Offline University Entrance Tests for admission to PhD Programme will be held in the Campus of Gopal Narayan Singh University. The Examination will comprise of two papers of 100 marks each and an interview of 50 marks.

All admissions to PhD  programmes in GNSU will be made through this All India PhD admission Test based on final merit in the UET and fulfillment of other eligibility criteria  as notified by the university. However, there are some exemptions in this respect. Any candidate who is qualified in a national level test such as National Eligibility Test (NET-JRF), NET-LS (without fellowship), Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE), State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) accredited by UGC, shall be considered for direct admission to the PhD programme without appearing in the GPAT but they have to fill up the application form. They would be required to qualify in Interview to be eligible for registration for PhD in the concerned discipline.

The candidates must pass the entrance test with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade point average in the qualifying examination. For Technical/Professional discipline, guidelines of the concerned Regulatory Body will be applicable. A relaxation of 5% marks (or equivalent grade point average) for SC/ST and Physically Challenged candidates have been provided.

The various disciplines are available in JMC and Lib. Sc. in the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Management Studies, and Nursing.
