GOA, September 8, 2026: The Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has opened applications for its 2027–29 batch, inviting candidates to apply for four full-time postgraduate management programmes. A total of 720 seats are available across the programmes, with scholarships and tuition-fee waivers also being offered to eligible students.
The programmes available for the 2027–29 academic session include the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), PGDM in Healthcare Management (HCM), PGDM in Big Data Analytics (BDA), and PGDM in Banking, Insurance and Financial Services (BIFS).
720 Seats Across Four Programmes
GIM has announced the following seat distribution for the 2027–29 batch:
- PGDM: 300 seats
- PGDM in Healthcare Management (HCM): 120 seats
- PGDM in Big Data Analytics (BDA): 180 seats
- PGDM in Banking, Insurance and Financial Services (BIFS): 120 seats
The institute said its admissions process is designed to provide opportunities to candidates with diverse academic, professional and extracurricular backgrounds.
Eligibility Criteria for GIM Admissions 2027
Candidates applying to GIM's full-time programmes must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their Bachelor's degree. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum required aggregate is 45%.
Applicants must have taken or appeared for XAT 2027, CAT 2026, or GMAT taken between January 1, 2025, and January 31, 2027.
Candidates who are completing their degree requirements by June 2027 are also eligible to apply, subject to the applicable admission requirements.
Achiever's Round for 2027 Admissions
GIM will also conduct an Achiever's Round, which provides profile-based shortlisting opportunities for candidates demonstrating achievements beyond conventional academic performance.
The selection process may consider achievements in areas including:
- Academics
- Sports
- Co-curricular activities
- Professional experience
Candidates shortlisted through the Achiever's Round may initially be considered without their CAT, XAT or GMAT scores. The relevant test scores will subsequently be factored into the admission process.
According to GIM, selected candidates may receive a spot admission offer, while other candidates may be considered along with applicants participating in the regular admission process.
The Achiever's Round centres for the 2027 admission cycle will be located in Goa, Kolkata and Delhi.

Scholarships Worth ₹5 Lakh
GIM is continuing its focus on merit and access through scholarships and tuition-fee waiver schemes.
For the 2027–29 batch, the Academic Competence and Excellence Scholarship Scheme (ACCESS) includes scholarships worth ₹5 lakh each for selected students across its programmes.
The scholarship allocation includes:
- 45 PGDM students
- 21 BDA students
- 7 BIFS students
- 7 HCM students
The institute also offers other tuition-fee waivers under applicable schemes. Students from deserving families with an annual family income below ₹8 lakh may be eligible for full tuition-fee waivers, subject to the applicable conditions and limits.
