GGSIPU Tennis Trials 2026: Last Date to Register is on November 2, Know Eligibility & Venue

New Delhi: Students of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and affiliated institutes will have an opportunity to showcase their talent at the selection trials for the men's and women's tennis teams. The university has released an official notice for the selection trials.

As per an official notice released by the Directorate of Students' Welfare on October 30, 2026, the selection trials will be held on November 3 at the DDA Sports Complex in Dwarka, New Delhi. The interested students need to register themselves online before the last date, which is November 2, 2026. The shortlisted students will be assessed to select them for the university teams.

Who Can Apply for GGSIPU Tennis Trials 2026?

Only those students would be allowed to go through the selection process who satisfy the eligibility conditions as stated in the university notice. The most important of them are age, and online registration. The eligibility conditions are as follows:

1. Age Limit

Students should be below 25 years of age as on 1st July 2026. Students who do not fulfill this age condition would not be eligible to go through the selection process as stated in the notification.

2. Online Registration

Students are required to fill the University’s online Google Form for registration and submit it on or before 2nd November, 2026 up to 5.00 p.m. Only the students who fill the said Google Form would be allowed to attend selection trials.

3. College/Institute Identity Card

During the selection process, students should carry their College/Institute identity card. Without College/Institute identity card, student would not be allowed to attend the selection trials.

4. Sports Kit and Personal Equipment

Participating students must come in proper sports outfit and carry their personal tennis equipment. Students should also reach the venue in time.

How to Apply for GGSIPU Tennis Selection Trials?

Students who are eligible must apply for the selection trials by registering themselves online. The university has given the link to the Google Form. Follow the steps given below to apply:

• Submit the form before the last date, which is November 2, 2026 at 5 PM.
• Carry the necessary documents and sports kit.

Important Guidelines for GGSIPU Tennis Trials

The Directorate of Students' Welfare has mentioned certain guidelines to follow. Students must report to the venue at the given time. If students are late they will not be allowed to appear for the selection trials. Students must carry their college/institute identity card. They must carry their own equipment. Students must wear proper sports kit. One important point to note is that even if students appear for the selection trials there is no guarantee to be selected.

The university has mentioned that the final selection will depend on the player's performance, preparedness and other factors. Hence students must not assume that they will be selected.

When will the AIU North Zone Inter-University Tennis Championship 2026 be held?

The AIU North Zone Inter-University Men's and Women's Tennis Championship will be held from November 11 to 15, 2026. It will be held at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal, Sonipat. The selection trials will be held by the university to assess the students.
