- GGSIPU’s International Education Fair connects 539 students with 17 universities from countries including the USA, UK, Australia and Canada.
New Delhi, September 18, 2026: The Centralized Career Guidance & Placement Cell (CCGPC), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), in association with IDP Education, organised an International Education Fair titled “Study Abroad – Campus Connect” at the University’s Dwarka campus.
The education fair provided students with an opportunity to directly interact with representatives of international universities and learn about higher education opportunities abroad.
17 International Universities Participate
The fair witnessed participation from 17 international universities representing major global education destinations, including the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Dubai and Malaysia.
The event received an enthusiastic response from the GGSIPU community, with 539 students from various University Schools of Studies (USS) participating along with their respective Faculty Coordinators.
Students actively interacted with representatives of the participating universities and explored opportunities for pursuing higher education overseas.
Interaction with International Universities
The programme commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by interaction sessions involving representatives of international universities, GGSIPU officials, faculty members and students.
The interaction sessions enabled students to seek information directly from international university representatives regarding opportunities for higher education abroad and gain greater exposure to global academic options.
The event was organised under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Payal, Director, CCGPC, GGSIPU.
Ms. Hemani Yadav, Training & Placement Officer, CCGPC, GGSIPU, coordinated the programme and facilitated interactions between the participating international universities and the University Schools of Studies.
IDP Education Representatives Attend Fair
Representing IDP Education at the event were Mr. Gagan Ghuman, Head – Strategic Alliances, IDP; Ms. Sandhya Nair, Head – Sales & Operations (Delhi NCR), IDP; and Mr. Rahul Sharma, Manager – Strategic Alliance, IDP.
The representatives interacted with students and University officials during the education fair.
GGSIPU Promotes Global Academic Exposure
The International Education Fair is part of GGSIPU’s efforts to provide students with global exposure, career guidance and access to international academic opportunities.
The initiative also seeks to strengthen engagement between GGSIPU and international educational institutions while creating opportunities for future academic and career-oriented collaborations.
Through such initiatives, students get opportunities to explore international higher education pathways and interact directly with institutions from different countries.
