Guwahati.: IIT Guwahati has confirmed that the GATE 2026 admit cards will be released on January 2, 2026, through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). Candidates who have registered for the national-level entrance exam will be able to download their hall tickets once the link is activated.
GATE 2026 serves as a key examination for admissions to postgraduate programs and recruitment for PSU positions across India.
How to Download GATE 2026 Admit Card
Candidates can follow these steps to access their hall tickets:
- Visit the official GATE 2026 website: gate2026.iitg.ac.in
- Click on the GOAPS login link
- Enter registered email ID/enrollment number and password
- After logging in, go to the Admit Card tab on the dashboard
- Download and print the admit card after verifying all personal details
Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with valid ID proof on the day of the exam.
GATE 2026 Exam Dates
GATE 2026 is being conducted by IIT Guwahati, in collaboration with IISc Bengaluru and all IITs, under the National Coordination Board (NCB), Ministry of Education.
The computer-based exam will be held on the following dates:
- February 7, 2026
- February 8, 2026
- February 14, 2026
- February 15, 2026
Exam Pattern and Structure for GATE 2026
- The examination will feature 30 test papers, conducted exclusively in English.
Key highlights:
- Total marks per paper: 100
- General Aptitude (GA): 15 marks (common for all papers)
