Arunachal Pradesh - The Department of Electrical Engineering at NIT Arunachal Pradesh has announced a five-day Faculty Development Programme on 5G Beyong Connectivity: Latest Innovation, Research and Applications scheduled from 9 to 13 February 2026 ag its Jote Campus in Arunachal Pradesh.
The FDP aims to address the rapid evolution of fifth-generation (5G) communication technologies and their expansion beyond enhanced data rates and low-latency connectivity. The program will cover cutting-edge topics such as 5G network architecture, massive MIMO, millimeter-wave communication, network slicing, software-defined networking (SDN), network function virtualization (NFV), cloud-native 5G systems, and the integration of 5G with emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, edge computing, Internet of Things (IoT), digital twins, and cyber-physical systems.
Special focus will also be given to 5G quality, privacy, standardization, industry use cases and future research directions leading towards 6G communication system. The FDP is designed to bridge the gp between the theory & prctices through expert lectures, reserch discussions nd hnds-on sessions conducted by specilis's from IITs, NITs nd leding industries.
