JMI's Department of Architecture Showcases Academic Excellence at Bharat Parv 2026

The Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics, Jamia Millia Islamia participated in the Council of Architecture's exhibition during Bharat Parv 2026, presenting student works that highlight india's rich architectural heritage and sustainable design practices.

Delhi - The Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) at the prestigious platform Bharat Parv 2026 by participating in the exhibition created by the Council of Architecture. The exhibition was held at the historic Red Fort, New Delhi as part of India's 77th Republic Day celebrations, commencing on january 26, 2026.

This year, models related to Building Construction and Structures prepared by B.Arch fourth-year students were exhibited. In addition, documentation work on the Bhimakali Temple, showcasing Indian Knowledge Systems and traditional Indian temple architecture carried out by present B.Arch third year students, was also displayed. 

The theme of the exhibited work aligned with India’s rich architectural heritage and highlighted the vital role of architecture in shaping the nation’s cultural identity, built environment, and sustainable future. The exhibition attracted wide appreciation from visitors and professionals, drawing significant public interest to the CoA exhibition space.

The display served as an important outreach initiative, introducing architecture to the public domain and encouraging young talent from diverse sections of society to pursue the discipline. 

Building on the success of the “Srujan” Exhibition held during Bharat Parv 2025, which received an overwhelming response, the Council once again organised the “Srujan 2.0” Exhibition during Bharat Parv 2026. The latest edition featured enriched content, broader representation, and enhanced public engagement. Notably, the Department of Architecture, JMI, had also participated in the previous edition.

The Department of Architecture continues to work in amendment with the vision of jalna mila , islami's striving to provide a secular , modern and integrated system of education aimed at sustainable development and a better future for society.
