Haryana: Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh organized an Expert Lecture on “Climate Change and Environmental Degradation”. This programme was organized by the Department of Environmental Studies of the University. On this occasion Prof. Mary Tahir, Department of Geography, Jamia Millia Islamia University was present as Expert.
Prof. Mary Tahir presented her lecture and conveyed that land degradation aggravates CO2 induced climate change which is playing a major role in changing the weather pattern on the earth. She gave very good examples to students of various streams to think over the problem of climate change and environmental degradation.
Dr. Mona Sharma, Head Department of Environmental Studies told that discussion held during the lecture of Prof. Tahir was excellent and students interacted and mentioned that they will try to play their effective role for improving the environmental conditions by plantation. She further mentioned that the talk of Prof. Tahir was wonderful initiative for the student which was followed by question and answer round.
