Education Minister Ashish Sood to Visit Rajdhani College Ahead of DUSU Elections 2026
New Delhi, September 18, 2026: Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood has visited Rajdhani College as Delhi University students prepare to vote in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) Elections 2026. The minister's visit comes as the student wing of the ruling BJP, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), campaigns in the college against the backdrop of the poll in which ABVP is fielding a 7-3-3-3 panel for the four posts.
Sood announced in his social media post about his interaction with students in Rajdhani College, where he supported ABVP's 7-3-3-3 panel. He further stated that the election campaign by students in the college was full of excitement. The minister's visit to Rajdhani College took place on polling day as the DUSU Elections 2026 are poised to witness one of the most combative contests in recent times.

It must be noted that 7-3-3-3 refers to the ballot numbers of the four ABVP candidates for the DUSU Central Council, contesting the posts of President, Vice President, Secretary and Joint Secretary. The ABVP candidates are:

- Ishu Maurya - Vice President (Ballot No. 3)
- Riya Chhawdi - Secretary (Ballot No. 3)
