New Delhi: The new academic session for Delhi University (DU) is likely to begin around October 20 for first-year undergraduate students, reported an official. The varsity is planning to open its admission portal by September 9. “We’re expecting CUET-UG results between September 10 and September 15. We want to launch our portal just a few days before that. It’s likely that we will do it this Friday,” the official added.

“We need time to finish admissions this time since there are several subject combinations. We’re looking at starting the new session by October 20,” the official said.

This year, the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal will form a critical part of the admissions at colleges affiliated to DU. The process will take place over three phases. Once launched, students will have to register through the CSAS-2022 application form available on the common portal and make a one-time (non-refundable) payment at this stage of application.

The second section will begin as soon as the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) results are declared. If the candidate is eligible for his or her desired programme, they may be capable of choose the programme and school combos they like. The college has suggested candidates to decide on a number of programme and school combos, with the order of preferences in thoughts. Once submitted, no adjustments might be made to the preferences.

The third section is allotment of seats, which can happen in a number of rounds. Once the advantage checklist is asserted, the candidate should examine the seat and college allotted on the frequent admission portal.
