DSSSB Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
The qualification depends on the post.
- For Senior Personal Assistant, candidates need to be graduates with shorthand speed of at least 110 words per minute and typing speed of 40 words per minute. The upper age limit is 27 years, age reckoned as on June 1, 2026.
- For Personal Assistant, applicants need to have a graduation degree, 100 words per minute shorthand speed, 40 words per minute typing speed and computer knowledge. The same 27-year age limit applies.
- Junior Judicial Assistant applicants need to be graduates with a minimum computer typing speed of 40 words per minute.
- For Process Server, the requirement is matriculation or equivalent. Candidates can alternatively qualify through Higher Secondary along with an LMV driving licence and two years of unblemished driving experience, as specified in the advertisement.
- For Peon/Orderly/Dak Peon, candidates need to have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
DSSSB Exam Pattern and Selection Process
The recruitment does not follow a single identical examination pattern for every post
- For Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant, the process includes an MCQ Tier-I, descriptive English test, shorthand/typing skill test and interview. The Tier-I examination carries 90 marks, while the descriptive test carries 75 marks.
- For Junior Judicial Assistant, Tier-I carries 120 MCQ marks, followed by a 100-mark descriptive English test, a qualifying typing test at 40 words per minute and an interview.
- Process Server candidates have to face a 100-mark objective examination, followed by a qualifying driving test conducted in real traffic conditions and an interview.
- For Peon/Orderly/Dak Peon, the selection includes a 100-mark objective test followed by an interview.
The exams carry 0.25-mark negative marking for every wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks are 50% for UR/EWS candidates and 45% for OBC (Delhi), SC, ST, PwBD and ESM candidates for the applicable written stages.
