Prominent Posts on Offer, Eligibility, and Reservation by Category

The DSSSB drive covers multiple job profiles across Teaching, Technical, and Clerical categories; hence, candidates from different educational backgrounds can identify a suitable post code in the same notification.

The following are some of the posts on offer:

  • Junior Scientific Assistant (Post codes for various disciplines are also indicated)
  • TGT (Computer Science)
  • Special Educator
  • IT Assistant Grade A
  • Data Processing Assistant Gr A
  • Technical Assistant
  • Fitter Grade II
  • Lift Operator
  • Electrical Overseer/Sub Inspector

Eligibility will be different for each postcode, so candidates are advised to refer to the official PDF for qualifications and age limits specific to each post, as there will be no uniform eligibility criteria. Generally, posts will require technical diplomas or graduate/post-graduate degrees in the relevant subject.

Age relaxation will be provided as per government orders; in addition to the standard age relaxations for Unreserved, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS candidates, as mentioned in the advertisement. The notification will also contain a breakdown of vacancies by category for each post code, which candidates should examine carefully, as the competition for a post code for TGT will be very different from that of the Lift Operator.

Selection Process, Application Fee, and How to Apply

The selection process under this notification is conducted in multiple stages and aims to assess both the knowledge of the subject and the practical skills pertaining to the post. Depending on the nature of the post, the stages may vary.

The selection process generally consists of:

  • A computer-based test in multiple tiers depending on the post
  • A skill test, physical endurance test, driving test, trade test, or an aptitude test, depending on the post
  • Verification of educational and category certificates

To apply for the post, interested candidates are required to carefully follow the application steps in the specified manner since the DSSSB doesn’t allow corrections after submission.

The Steps Of Application Include:

  • Registration of basic personal detail on dsssbonline.nic.in (one-time registration)
  • Submission of application for the relevant post code (only one application for each relevant post code)
  • Payment of the application fee through SBI e-Pay
  • Availability of scanned copies of a passport-sized recent photograph, signature, educational certificates, and category/PwBD/EWS certificates for upload
  • Submission of application (the final application form is to be saved and printed)

The Board has cautioned that multiple applications for a post code will lead to rejection of applications; the candidates must confirm their selections prior to submission. The application is open until July 15. Those applying for high-demand posts, especially the TGT Computer Science, should apply at the earliest.
