Mahendergarh : Dr. B. R Ambedkar Centre for Excellence (DACE) was inaugurated on 01 October 2022 at Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh by the Member of Parliament Smt. Sunita Duggal and IAS officer Ms. Ira Singhal. The Ambedkar Centre for excellence is an initiative by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India to empower the Scheduled Caste (SC) students by providing them high quality coaching for Civil Services Examination (Prelims and Mains) on free of cost. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof.Tankeshwar Kumar and the Centre Coordinator Dr. Antresh Kumar has negotiated with the MinistrytogetfundsandstarttheCentreatCentralUniversityofHaryanacampus.TheCentre have recruited faculty for teaching, and for availing free coaching more than 200 applications have been received and 89 aspirants were admitted after conducting the entrance exam, for whom classes will begin from 03 October.

The Inauguration ceremonywas attended bySmt. SunitaDuggal (MP, Sirsa), Ms. IraSinghal (IAS, Commissioner, Revenue Department, New Delhi), Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar (VC, CUH), Prof. Sunil Kumar (Registrar, CUH), Dr. Antresh Kumar (Coordinator, DACE), CommitteeforDACE,Facultymembers,studentsoftheCentreandUniversity,andparentsof the Civil Services aspirants. The program started with floral tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar statue,andlaterMs. IraSinghal,whoisthetopperof2014CivilServices examhasinteracted withthestudents,sharedherexperiences,gavevaluablesuggestionsandguidancefortheCivil Services Examination preparation, she motivated the students and filled confidence in the mindsoftheadmittedstudentsoftheCentre.Shehighlightedtheimportanceofself-beliefand self-motivation, and to have a job to setup a level of career before preparing for the Civil Services exam. Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar has interacted with the students, explained about the Centre for Excellence, and assured them for providing best facilities like library and hostel for women students. Smt. Sunita Duggal have shared her experiences in clearingtheCivil Services Examination and assured hersupport for theCentre.
