Raman Research Institute to Hold Technical Talk on Quantum Geometry on January 30

Raman Research Institute, Bengaluru will organise a Theoretical Physics Technical Talk on "Quantum Geometry: A new tag on Correlated Lattice Systems" on January 30, 2026. The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Nishchhal Verma from Colombia University, New York and will be held both offline and online via Zoom.

Bengaluru - Raman Research Institute, Bengaluruhas announced a Theoretical Physics Technical Talk on "Quantum Geometry: A new tag on Correlated Lattice Systems". The talk will be delivered by Dr. Nishchhal Verma, a researcher from Colombia University, New York. 

The technical session is scheduled for Friday 30 January, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The offline venue for the talk will be SCM Lecture Hall, Raman Research Institute , Bengaluru.

 During the talk Dr. Verma will discuss how the momentum-space structure of electronic wavefunctions affects material responses beyond band dispersion and its role in controlling the stability of correlated ground states. The lecture will also cover both linear and nonlinear responses, recent research progresses and how quantum geometric effects differ across lattice systems.

Raman Research Institute has informed that all are welcome to attend this technical session, including students,  research scholars and  faculty members interested in theoretical and condensed matter physics.
