New Delhi: A complaint was made by Dr. Chandrakant Singh from PLPS Trust, New Delhi on account of Department of Education (DOE) not yet formulated a separate land norm for those schools running in an unauthorised and unregulated area. The complainant filed the complaint on 11th of August 2022 and the reports show that the status is still in progress, but action needs to be taken in the whole of New Delhi’s unregulated area.

According to Dr. Chandrakant Singh mentioned in complaint, the  Lieutenant Governor (LG) supervised the meeting held in Raj Nivas on 12th Jan 2004 to decide land norms for recognition of school by DOE. In this meeting the   LG had clearly directed the authorities to formulate land norms for schools running in unregulated area. Although more than 78,840 days have been passed no action has been taken regarding this matter. Different associations appeal to relax the land norms but no firm action has been taken and DOE remains ignorant.
