In latest development today on August 18, 2026, Directorate of Medical Education, Raipur Chhattisgarh released the Round 1 state merit list for medical/dental admissions along with NRI eligible candidate list. The round 1 results are declared on official website exactly one day after the choice filling and locking process deadline which was midnight on August 17. Thousands of medical aspirants can visit the admissions portal cgdme.admissions.nic.in to view their overall state merit rank and category rank in 2026.
How to View State Rank PDF and NRI Candidate List
Unlike the previous year, the DME Chhattisgarh officials this time uploaded the consolidated eligibility list in the form of downloadable PDF documents on the homepage notice board. Medical students can view the following lists without entering any login credentials:
1. State Merit List PDF – comprising of eligible candidates who successfully submitted application form, paid requisite fees and completed the choice filling and locking process
2. NRI Eligible List – containing a separate list of Non-Resident Indians candidates eligible for private college admissions
Both the above-mentioned documents carry the following candidate details for cross-verification:
- Name of the candidate
- NEET UG roll number
- Total score obtained by the candidate
- AIR (All India Rank)
- State Merit Rank
Checking Relative Ranks before Seat Allotment is Mandatory
It is mandatory for every medical/dental aspirant to physically verify if their relative ranks (category and state-wise) as mentioned in the new merit list match with the data submitted by them during online application form submission. Having known their exact rank, students will get an estimate of their chances of getting admission in the government medical colleges and private dental colleges in the state before the official seat allotment. In case a candidate finds any discrepancy with the information mentioned in the merit list and their application form, they must bring it to the notice of DME Chhattisgarh authority via email.
When is the Round 1 Seat Allotment Date for Chhattisgarh Medical Colleges?
With the publishing of state merit list today on 18th August, the counselling committee has entered into the next crucial stage of the admission process i.e. seat allotment. As per the official schedule released by DME Raipur, the Round 1 allotment results for government and private medical/dental colleges will start announcing from 20th August.
The tentative dates for document verification and reporting to allotted institutes have been scheduled from 21st August to 27th August, 2026. Therefore, students who have got their desired seat allocated on 20th August, must cross-verify the eligibility criteria and carry all original documents for institute scrutiny. It is better to keep the original mark sheets, NEET scorecard, state domicile certificate, category certificate and the seat allotment order handy so that no time is lost during the crucial document verification week.
