The Department of Educational Studies, Faculty of Education, Jamia Millia Islamia successfully organized the Second National Educational Research Championship 2025, a national- level quiz competition designed to promote academic excellence and research awareness among budding scholars in the field of education. The event was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Professor Sara Begum, Dean of the Faculty of Education by a team including Dr. Ali Haider, Dr. Sameer Babu M., Dr. Afaque Nadeem Khan and Prof. Kaushal Kishore.

Serving as the Quiz Master, Professor Kaushal Kishore, Head of the Department, led the competition with enthusiasm and rigor. A total of nine teams had registered for the event, out of which six teams participated actively. Represented universities included the University of Allahabad, University of Delhi, Galgotias University, NIEPA, and Jamia Millia Islamia.

The quiz consisted of various intellectually stimulating rounds that tested the participants’ knowledge, critical thinking, and research aptitude. These rounds included Rapid Fire, Buzzer round, Double Trouble, Memory Mega, Pass the Ball, Choose Your Sample, Statistical Reasoning, Match the Frame, Reference Fixing, and Error Mapping. The first two rounds served as screening rounds, after which one team from Jamia Millia Islamia and the team from Galgotias University were eliminated. The remaining teams engaged in a vibrant and competitive atmosphere throughout the rest of the rounds. At the end of the competition, the University of Allahabad team secured the first position and bagged the National Educational Research Champions’ trophy, while the teams from NIEPA and the University of Delhi were declared the first and second runners-up, respectively. Trophies and certificates were awarded to Mr. Ajeet Singh and Mr. Ayush Sharma of the University of Allahabad, and to Ms. Vandana Singh and Mr. Pankaj Sarkar of NIEPA. All participants received certificates of appreciation in recognition of their enthusiastic involvement.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Professor Pawan Kumar Sharma, Controller of
Examinations, Jamia Millia Islamia who served as the Chief Guest. He praised the organization of the event and encouraged the team to incorporate questions related to the Indian Knowledge System in future editions of the quiz.

The event was smoothly coordinated by Dr. Ali Haider, the Organizing Secretary. The program
concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sameer Babu M, who extended gratitude to the Chief Guest, the Quiz Master, faculty members, volunteers, participating teams from various universities, and the students and research scholars who formed the audience. Special thanks were given to the AAJMI Association for sponsoring the event and supporting the vision of collaborative academic engagement.
