New Delhi : Delhi University (DU) has announced recruitment for 56 faculty positions, inviting applications for Professor and Associate Professor posts across multiple departments under Advertisement No. R&P/313/2025. The last date to apply is October 21, 2025, or within two weeks of publication in the Employment News, whichever is later.
The recruitment aims to strengthen DU’s academic and research environment by onboarding highly qualified faculty members in key disciplines such as Management Studies, Physics & Astrophysics, and Social Work.

A total of 56 vacancies have been announced:
- Associate Professors: 35 posts
- Professors: 21 posts

- Associate Professors: 23 (UR-9, SC-4, ST-2, OBC-5, EWS-2, PwBD-1)
- Professors: 12 (UR-4, SC-3, ST-1, OBC-2, EWS-1, PwBD-1)
Department of Physics & Astrophysics
- Associate Professors: 8 (ST-3, OBC-1, EWS-3, PwBD-1)
- Professors: 7 (UR-2, SC-1, ST-1, OBC-2, PwBD-1)
Department of Social Work
- Associate Professors: 4 (SC-1, ST-1, OBC-1, EWS-1)
- Professors: 2 (SC-1, OBC-1)
Appointments will be made in accordance with the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC):
- Associate Professors: Academic Pay Level 13A
- Professors: Academic Pay Level 14
Reservation and Eligibility
Delhi University has reiterated that Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) — including those with visual, locomotor, hearing, and other benchmark disabilities — are eligible to apply for reserved faculty positions across all categories (UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS).
Eligibility criteria and qualifications for each post will strictly follow the University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations.
