Delhi University announces Financial Support Scheme; check eligibility, deadline

ndergraduate students students pursuing BTech programmes and those pursuing five year integrated law programme (BA LLB/ BBA LLB) are not eligible to apply under this scheme as they have already been granted fee waiver during the time of admission.

New Delhi :- The Delhi University’s Dean Students’ Welfare office announced its Financial Support Scheme (FSS) 2023-24 for students whose family annual income is less than Rs 8 lakh. Candidates have time till 5 pm of January 10 to apply for this scheme.

This financial assistance scheme is for full-time bonafide students studying in any UG/ PG degree programme at a department/ institution/ centre of University of Delhi belonging to specific categories:

— Students whose family income per annum is less than or equal to Rs 4 lakh. These students will be given a fee waiver of upto 100 per cent (actual fee or up to a maximum of Rs 10,000).

 Those whose family income per annum is between Rs 4 and 8 lakh will be given a fee waiver of upto 50 per cent (actual fee or up to a maximum of Rs 8,000).

he fee waiver includes all components of the fee paid at Delhi University except examination fee and hostel fee.

1. Self-attested copy of EWS/ OBC-NCL Certificate or Annual family income certificate issued by
competent authority after March 31, 2023. Income certificate issued by a notary will not be
accepted.
2.Self-attested copies of latest Income Tax Returns (2022-23) of the following family members:
a. Father
b. Mother
c. Sister (s) (Unmarried)
d. Brother (s) (Unmarried and below 25 years of age)
3.Self-attested copy of Pan card(s) of all the above
4.Undertaking duly signed by the applicant.
5.Signed copy of bonafide certificate duly signed by Head/ Director of the Centre/ Department/
Institute as per the format given on http://www.dsw.du.ac.in.
6.Self-attested copy of the mark sheet of last exam passed.
7.Self-attested copy of the latest Fee Receipt.
8.Self-attested copy of Bank Passbook showing the Student’s Name, Account Number and IFSC
code or a Cancelled Cheque.

However, undergraduate students students pursuing BTech programmes (Computer Science & Engineering; Electronics & Computer Engineering; Electrical Engineering) under Faculty of Technology, and those pursuing five year integrated law programme (BA LLB/ BBA LLB) are not eligible to apply under this scheme as they have already been granted fee waiver during the time of admission.
