New Delhi : Delhi’s Education Minister Ashish Sood led a heartfelt ceremony distributing digital tablets to 240 meritorious students from schools across the city. The initiative is part of a broader push to strengthen digital learning access and ensure students have uninterrupted access to online resources, e‑learning platforms, and self‑paced study tools.
More than just gadgets, the distribution symbolised the government’s commitment to bridging digital divides in education. Minister Sood spoke about how tablets can empower students — whether they’re revising notes, exploring advanced topics online, or accessing career guidance resources.
The event also honoured students and role models who have triumphed over adversity. One highlight was the recognition of Ayushi Dabas, an IAS officer and former teacher who excelled academically despite visual impairment. Alongside her, achievers like Abha Khetarpal and Shaurya Sood — scholars who overcame life‑challenging conditions — were celebrated for their resilience and perseverance.
Parents, teachers, and students lauded the initiative as a morale booster heading into the new academic year, emphasising that equitable access to technology is now a gateway to higher opportunity.
