NEW DELHI 10TH JANUARY .Social Welfare Minister Shri Raaj Kumar Anand on Tuesday inspected the hostel built for the students at the District Office and Sanskar Ashram located in Dilshad Garden. During the inspection of the district office, he also interacted with some people here. Beneficiaries told that there has been a lot of improvement here as compared to earlier. Due to the online facility, there is no need to stand in long queues. Due to decentralisation, people are getting a lot of conveniences. The minister inquired from the people present there what kind of reforms they want in the Social Welfare Department. Along with this, he directed the officers there to redress the pending cases soon. The minister, while inspecting the hostel for boys and girls in Sanskar Ashram, instructed to make an open gym and spots area there. Along with this, Shri Anand, during the inspection of the Apparel Training and Design Center (ATDC) and Employment-free Hi-Tech Center, gave instructions for such talented children of SC / ST, OBC and minorities to play in the Skills Center Delhi. 

 

Social Welfare Minister Shri Raaj Kumar Anand inspected the District Office and Sanskar Ashram at Dilshad Garden on Tuesday. When the Minister spoke to the people in the Social Welfare District Office, the people said that due to the online facility, now they do not have to stand in long queues. Due to decentralisation, people are getting a lot of relief. He also got information from the officials about the work there. He said that daily pending cases related to pensions are being resolved by meeting the beneficiaries. The officials said that the pension for December has been issued to the disabled and the elderly. Those whose Aadhaar numbers have not been registered with NCPE are being contacted through both phone and letter.

 

 

On the other hand, Social Welfare Minister Shri Raaj Kumar Anand along with the officials of the department and PWD reviewed the facilities available in the hostel for boys and girls of Sanskar Ashram. In which the officials said that arrangements have been made for the accommodation of 100 boys and 60 girls in the hostel. It was also informed that the admission process of the students has been started. Hostels will be provided to the applicants soon. The minister also directed the PWD officials to make an open gym and sports area along with making proper arrangements in the hostel. So that students can take advantage of the gym and sports in the hostel itself.

 

 

Shri Raaj Kumar Anand also inspected the Apparel Training and Design Center (ATDC) located at Sanskar Ashram. Where girls are trained to design clothes. He saw the clothes designed by the girls. Also got information about how it is designed by machines. 

 

 

The minister also inspected the employment-free high-tech centre located at Sanskar Ashram. There he got information about employment training being given to SC-ST, OBC and minority children there. The HOD of the centre said that 12 months of training is given by the government for employment. In 12 types of other training are given along with beauty parlour, technical, and skill development. Out of which 95% of beneficiaries start their start-up. He instructed SC/ST, OBC and minorities to play for such talented children in more skill centres in Delhi.

 

Social Welfare Minister Shri Raaj Kumar Anand said, "Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has directed us to ensure that best facilities are made available to the people. The problems of the people coming to the office are being redressed quickly. People coming to the office are very happy. People are being contacted through different means for pending pensions. Along with this, world-class facilities will be made available in the hostel for boys and girls in Sanskar Ashram. So that more and more students get enrolled. Discussions are going on to run an awareness campaign for this. SC-ST and minority children of Delhi are getting employment due to training in ATDC and employment-free high-tech centres.."
