The Directorate of Education (DoE) has opened a second round of admissions for Classes 10 and 12 in Delhi government schools, offering a fresh opportunity to students who missed the initial admission cycle held in March.
According to an official circular, application forms will be available from July 9, and the last date to submit them is July 23. Only students residing in Delhi are eligible to apply.
This round of admissions will apply to government schools run by the DoE, excluding specialised institutions such as Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalayas (RPVVs), Schools of Specialised Excellence, and Schools of Excellence. All schools have been directed to complete the admission process by August 30.
To be eligible for Class 12, students must have passed Class 11 in the 2024–25 academic session with the required subjects. Additionally, their Class 10 marks must meet the minimum percentage required for the stream they are applying for. Relaxations in marks will be provided to students from SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and minority categories, as well as Kashmiri migrants, national-level sportspersons, and specially-abled students. The latter will receive a 5% relaxation across all subjects.
Admit cards for the Common Admission Test will be distributed on July 30 at the respective schools where students submit their applications. The test is scheduled for August 2, from 10 AM to 12 noon, and results will be announced on August 6.
