The guidelines apply to private unaided recognised schools, excluding minority schools, operating on land allotted by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) or the government.
The first computerized draw of lots for available seats was conducted on September 24, 2026. Selected candidates must complete document verification and secure admission within the prescribed schedule.
The department has instructed parents, zonal authorities and schools to follow the verification and admission procedures. The final deadline for recommended candidates to report to their allotted schools is October 31, 2026.

How to Check the Allotted School
Candidates selected in the computerized draw will receive an SMS on their registered mobile number informing them of the allotted school and the document verification centre.

Recommended candidates must report to the allotted school and complete admission by October 31, 2026.
If a candidate does not report to the verification centre according to the prescribed schedule, the candidature may be cancelled.
The school allotted through the computerized draw cannot be changed under any circumstances.
If documents are found to be forged, fake or insufficient to support the candidate's eligibility, the school allotment may be cancelled.

If discrepancies are found during document scrutiny, the zonal sub-committee will issue a deficiency memo to the candidate.
Candidates will be allowed to submit valid or updated documents to establish their eligibility under the EWS/Freeship category by October 12, 2026, between 10:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
The zonal authority will issue a reasoned order recommending or rejecting the admission.
Appeal Process for Rejected Candidates
Parents who are dissatisfied with the order passed by the Deputy Director of Education (DDE) Zone can appeal to the District Admission Monitoring Committee (DAMC).
