Delhi DoE Announces Resumption of Normal Classes in Schools

This decision follows the revocation of Stage-III (‘Severe’ Air Quality) actions under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) by the Commission for Air Quality Management.

 

New Delhi. : The Directorate of Education (DoE), Delhi Government, has issued a notice announcing the resumption of regular physical classes in all schools. This decision follows the revocation of Stage-III (‘Severe’ Air Quality) actions under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) by the Commission for Air Quality Management.

Key Details

  • The notice applies to all Government, Government-Aided, Unaided Recognized Private Schools, as well as schools under NDMC, MCD, and the Delhi Cantonment Board.
  • Effective immediately, all schools are directed to conduct classes in physical mode.

Instructions to Schools
DoE has instructed Heads of Schools to:

  • Inform students, staff, and parents about the resumption of normal classes.
  • Ensure smooth implementation of the revised guidelines.
  • The announcement revokes the guidelines issued on January 16, 2025, which had modified school operations due to severe air quality concerns.
  • This move comes as air quality in Delhi improves, allowing schools to return to regular operations.
