CUH Launches 6 Week Summer Training Programme on Applied Deep Learning

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Central University of Haryana inaugurated a six-week hybrid summer training programme on Applied Deep Learning. The initiative focuses on AI, NLP, Python Programming, and project-based learning, with participation from students across various institutions nationwide.

Mahendergarh: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Central University of Haryana (CUH), inaugurated a six-week hybrid summer training programme titled “Applied Deep Learning: From Theory to Real World” on Thursday. The programme has attracted enthusiastic participation from students representing various universities and institutions across the country.

The inaugural session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Haryana, as the Chief Patron and Prof. C. C. Tripathi, Director, NITTTR Bhopal, as the Guest of Honour.

Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar emphasized the growing significance of AI and advanced computing technologies in shaping the future of education, research, and industry. He encouraged students to continuously upgrade their skills and take advantage of emerging opportunities in domains such as AI, Drone Technology, and Quantum Computing.

He also noted that the University is actively strengthening AI-focused academic initiatives to enhance students’ employability and industry readiness.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. C. C. Tripathi highlighted the transformative role of AI across sectors including education, healthcare, governance, agriculture, and industry. He encouraged students to develop AI-driven solutions for addressing social challenges and promoting community welfare.

Welcoming the participants, programme convener Dr. Vishal Passricha highlighted that the training aims to equip students with practical skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Deep Learning through hands-on learning and project-based training.

The six-week programme includes intensive training in Python Programming, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, and AI-based project development. The programme is being conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vipin Kumar, Chairperson, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, with active support from the organizing committee comprising Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Nitin Goyal, Dr. Sushil Kumar, and Dr. Sangeeta.
