Haryana :- Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh’s students are visiting Jammu Kashmir &Ladakh for geographical survey. This Visit organized by the Department of Geography under the regional survey program. Prof.Tankeshwar Kumar,Vice Chancellor of the University said that, such events as important for developing the practical understanding of the subject among the students and it will be helpful to understand the practical aspects of the subject along with theory.
Dr.Jitendra Kumar, Head of the department said that this survey work is mainly being done to study the floods in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh region. He said that our students are studying to know the causes of floods in different areas and necessary measures to solve them. Coordinators of this survey, Dr.Kheraj and Dr. C.M. Meena said that various information is being collected from the area and the residents of that area to study the causes of the 2014 flood in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir and its socio-economic effects. Has been. For the last five days, students of M.A.C. Geography latter have been studying different parts of Srinagar.
