CUH signed MoU with CSIR NGRI, Hyderabad

:- CUH said that the objective of this MoU it to provide coordination of collaborative research, monitoring and data exchange in the earthquake monitoring and crustal deformation and land movements in and around Mahendergarh region

 

Haryana: Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh and CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Hydrabad will work together to consolidate the strengths of their organizations, by way of setting up a permanent GPS observatory at CUH, Mahendergarh. Both institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for mutual partnership in this regard. The MoU was signed by the Registrar, Prof. Sarika Sharma on behalf of Central University of Haryana while Dr. V.K. Gahalaut, Chief Scientist signed on behalf of CSIR- (NGRI), Hyderabad.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor, CUH said that the objective of this MoU it to provide coordination of collaborative research, monitoring and data exchange in the earthquake monitoring and crustal deformation and land movements in and around Mahendergarh region. Under this collaboration, GPS observatory shall be set up and CUH Campus for monitoring geodetic data and necessary equipment and financial grant shall be borne by the CSIR-NGRI. Several joint training programs and workshops shall be conducted in the benefit of the students and the researchers.

Dr. Manish Kumar, Coordinator, Department of Geography, CUH said that the MoU shall encourage faculty members, Masters’ and Ph.D students of the University to take up projects and thesis in collaboration with the scientist from the CSRI-NGRI.

Prof. Sarika Sharma, Registrar, CUH, Dr. Ran Bir Singh, Co-Coordinator, Department of Civil Engineering, CUH were also present on the occasion of this partnership, which took place in the office of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Haryana.
