Haryana: Under the water conservation campaign in Mahendragarh, on Saturday, June 11, the Jal Sanrakshak Jodo Abhiyan is going to launch. Under this campaign, a two-day National Water Convention is being organized Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh with the joint efforts of Indian Himalayan River Basins Council, Tarun Bharat Sangh, District Administration, Mahendragarh and IITTM, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Jal Purush and Magsaysay awardee Dr. Rajendra Singh will be present as the chief guest in this program. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor and Prof. Sunil Kumar, Registrar will attend the program as a Guest of Honour.

Dr. J.K. Abhir, Deputy Commissioner, Mahendergarh said that the purpose of this convention is to strengthen the efforts needed for water conservation with the participation of local people at the beginning of the Jal Sanrakshak Jodo Abhiyan.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor said that now the time has come that along with traditional measures, technical and scientific measures will have to be adopted in this direction and this arrangement of mutual partnership will prove to be important in this work.

Shri Babu Lal Yadav, IITTM, Ministry of Tourism told that in this convention around 25 experts will share their research work in this field. Prof. Surendra Singh, Dr. Mona Sharma and Dr. Vinita Malik, Central University of Haryana told that this event will be helpful to know current situation of water conservation and future planning.
