CUH Faculty selected for SIRE fellowship

:- This Program aims to impart high-end research training in frontier areas of Science and Technology, which are of interest to India by providing opportunity to visit leading Institutions/Universities across the globe for a period of two to six months

 

Haryana: Dr. Amit Kumar, Assistant Professor of Chemistry under School of Engineering and Technology, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh has received prestigious SIRE (SERB International Research Experience) fellowship for six months from Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Prof. Tankeshawar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor congratulated Dr. Amit Kumar for his achievement.

Dr. Kumar will visit University of Texas at Dallas and work in the Lab. of Prof. Mihaela Stefan for six months at Department of Chemistry, University of Texas at Dallas, (USA), who is renowned scientist in field of Organic Electronic Devices. This Program aims to impart high-end research training in frontier areas of Science and Technology, which are of interest to India by providing opportunity to visit leading Institutions/Universities across the globe for a period of two to six months.

Presently Dr. Kumar is working in the area of Organic Electronic Devices (OLEDs, OFETs, Sensors) and materials for energy storage systems. He has earned his PhD in Chemistry from National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi and Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak and also did his postdoc from Department of Chemistry, Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Kumar has Six patents [three granted (01 US and 02 Indian) and three published (Indian)] to his credit and more than 70 research publications in the journals of International repute.
