Mahendergarh : Dr. Rupesh Deshmukh, a distinguished faculty member at the Department of Biotechnology, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh has been honored with the prestigious Professor K. S. Bhargava Memorial Award 2024. This esteemed recognition is awarded annually by the Society for Plant Research (SPR) to eminent scientists and academicians for their outstanding contributions to plant sciences, plant pathology, microbiology, aquatic fungi, or plant mycology.
Dr.Deshmukh’s recognition comes as a result of his remarkable contributions to plant biotechnology, which have earned him widespread national and international acclaim. His pioneering research has been published in several highly reputed journals, showcasing his commitment to advancing plant science. Notably, he has recently been featured in the Top 1% Highly Cited Researchers list for 2024 by Clarivate, a rare distinction that places him among the top global influencers in the field. Remarkably, Dr. Deshmukh is one of only six Indian scientists to achieve this honor, reflecting his immense impact on global research.
Prof.Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of CUH, congratulated Dr. Deshmukh on this outstanding achievement.
