Haryana :- Dr. Mona Sharma, Head, Department of Environmental Studies, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarhhas been honored with NESA Environmentalist of the Year 2023 Award for working remarkably as an environmentalist in the area of bioenergy, wastewater treatment and algal metabolites. The award received by the National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi. The Vice Chancellor of the University,Prof.Tankeshwar Kumar congratulated Dr. Mona Sharma for this honor and said that Dr. Monacontribution as a teacher, researcher and administrator is noteworthy.

Prof.NeelamSangwan also congratulated her and appreciated her achievements in the field of environmental science. While presenting the certificate of honorand Gold Medal to the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof.Tankeshwar Kumar, Dr. Mona Sharma said that under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor, the University teachers are constantly registering their presence on national and international platforms. On this occasion, Dr. Mona also expressed her gratitude to Prof.Javed Ahmad, President of the National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi, who appreciated her contribution and considered her worthy of this award.

Let us tell you here that even before this, Dr. Mona Sharma has been awarded by Women Researcher Award in the International Scientist Award on Engineering, Science and Medicine in 2022, Best Invited Lecture Award (SidangPembekal Management) in ISCMNB 2021 held in Selangor, Malaysia, Prominent Alumnus Award 2021 by Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, Honorary Fellowship of Indian Academy of Environmental Sciences (FIAES) etcfor her remarkable efforts in the field of environmental science. At this moment other faculty members, Dr. Anita Singh, Dr. Vikram Singh, Dr.Smita, Dr.Anoop Yadav and Dr.Bhupendra P. Singh were also present.
