Mahendergarh : : Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, Hon’ble Governor of Rajasthan, conferred prestigious national award for teaching excellence in Higher Education Institutions-2024 to Dr. Anita Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Nutrition Biology, Central University of Haryana on Teacher's Day (5 th September, 2024) at Central University of Rajasthan to recognize her significant contributions in the field of nutritional science. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, The Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh congratulated Dr.
Anita Kumari for her outstanding contributions towards innovative teaching practices impactful research, project-based learning, dedication to student guidance, and engagement in
outreach activities and motivated her to continue the same in future also. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sushma Yadav; Registrar, Prof. Suneel Kumar; Dean Research, Prof.
Pawan Kumar Sharma, Dean, SIAS, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Gupta, Head of the Department, Prof. Kanti Prakash Sharma also congratulated her for the award.
The Central University of Rajasthan has introduced this award in the year 2023 to recognize teachers who have demonstrated excellence and innovativeness in teaching in HEIs pan-India
and have significantly contributed to the growth of their Institute and the society at large. Dr. Anita Kumari was one of the four awardees across India for this highly competitive teaching
excellence award-2024. The award included a cash prize of Rs. 25000/-, Shawl, a Citation,and a Memento. Dr. Kumari thanked Central University of Rajasthan for appreciation in
terms of award.
Dr. Anita Kumari expressed her gratitude to Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, CUH for providing the excellent research and other academic facilities which has enabled her
to receive this award. Dr. Kumari also thanked her faculty collaborators Prof. Neelam Sangwan, Prof. Surender Singh; Dr. Ashwani Kumar for their active involvement and
cooperation. She has also given credit to her research team of Ph.D. students and Project Associate namely Sarita, Deepika, Debolina Chakhi and Surbhi Panwar for putting their
sincere efforts towards quality research. Dr. Anita Kumari also thanked various funding agencies to support her research on “Hypovitaminosis D” and “Diabetes”, both of which are widespread and have significant impacts on public health.
