The Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate) CUET (UG) 2026, organised by the National Testing Agency (NTA), was implemented between May 11 and May 31, 2026, and June 6 and June 7, 2026, in 321 cities, including 15 International Cities.CUET (UG) is one of the largest, computer-based entrance examinations in the world. It is an accessible, singular, and comprehensive means for undergraduate admissions for the participating universities in India. The examination ushers an important change in the admissions process for higher education in India, and the examination serves to create a fair system for students in India.
For CUET (UG) 2026, candidates could choose from a total of 37 subjects. These 37 subjects consisted of 13 languages, 23 domain subjects, and 1 General Aptitude Test (GAT). Candidates could select up to five (05) subjects based on the eligibility criteria of the university and programs of their choice.
In support of inclusivity, the examination framework offered the administration of the question papers in 13 languages, which were English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu
