CUET UG 2026 Answer Key Challenge Window Closes Today Last Chance to Raise Objections

NTA will close the CUET UG 2026 answer key challenge window on June 11. Candidates can submit objections with supporting documents and a fee of Rs 200 per question before the deadline.

NTA to Shut CUET UG 2026 Answer Key Objection Portal Tonight

The objection window for the provisional answer key of the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 will be closed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) today, June 11. Candidates who appeared for the exam and want to contest any answer in the provisional key will have to submit their objections in the CUET portal before the deadline.

On June 9, provisional answer keys, along with the respondents’ answer scripts and the question papers, were made available to the examinees. This will help them assess their performance and identify errors, if any, in the answer keys. According to NTA, all objections have to be submitted online, and every objection has to be substantiated by a supporting document.

Once the window for submitting objections closes, all objections will be reviewed by the subject experts before the answer key is finalised. The CUET UG result will be released based on the finalised answer key. Therefore, the deadline is crucial for the candidates who want to revise their results. As per reports, the objection window will be available only until 10:00 PM. The facility to submit the objection fee will be available until 11:50 PM on June 11.

How to Challenge the CUET UG 2026 Answer Key

Candidates who contend that the provisional answer key is incorrect in any respect should first check their response sheets and compare them with reliable academic materials. For filing the objection, candidates must log in using their application number and password, select the answer they wish to contest, upload the proof, and pay the processing fee.

NTA has set the challenge fee to Rs 200 for each question. The fee is most likely non-refundable, and each objection is independently assessed by subject experts. Therefore, students must base their objections on evidence, as the likelihood of acceptance of the objection is very low. The agency has stated that challenges made after the prescribed time limit will not be considered in any case.

How to File an Objection

  • Access the CUET official portal
  • Application number and password log in
  • Click on the answer key challenge link
  • Select the question to contest
  • Upload supporting documents in PDF proof
  • Pay Rs 200 for each contested question
  • Submit and save the confirmation page for future reference

The answer key challenge process is an extremely vital step for ensuring transparency and fairness of the national-level examinations. Candidates who can identify genuine issues have the right to further improve the accuracy of the final evaluative process.

What Happens When the Objection Window Closes?

NTA will send all challenges that were submitted after the objection window in NTA to the Subject Matter Experts for an in-depth review. If a challenge is accepted as valid, the answer in question will be modified to reflect that. The answer in question, along with the revised answer, will be included in the final answer key that will be used to calculate scores and prepare results. No notifications will be given to candidates on whether their challenges were accepted or rejected. Changes to the answer key will be included in the answer key published by the agency.

CUET UG is a highly important exam for undergraduate admissions for entry into the Central Universities and many other Universities in India. Since admissions to various universities across the country are largely dependent on the CUET scores, candidates are advised to make the most of the remaining time if they are of the opinion that any answer is likely to require a challenge. After the objection window is closed for submitting challenges, the process will move toward the final answer key and the results. Candidates are advised to keep a lookout on the official CUET website for updates on the final answer key, score cards and admission counselling schedules.
