CPRS, JMI organizes A Free Physiotherapy Camp to commemorate World Physiotherapy Day

This initiative aimed to bridge the gap in healthcare by offering free professional physiotherapy consultations to the underprivileged community. An exemplary team of faculties and physiotherapists embraced the event during various time slots throughout the event.

New Delhi :, Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (CPRS), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) organised a Free Physiotherapy Camp from 9 am to 4 pm at Hope Project Charitable Trust-127, Basti Hazrat Nizamuddin, New Delhi – 110013. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap in healthcare by offering free professional physiotherapy consultations to the underprivileged community. An exemplary team of faculties and physiotherapists embraced the event during various time slots throughout the event.

Both MPT and BPT final-year students served as volunteers. Through a dedicated team of physiotherapists and volunteers, the camp provided a range of treatments and consultations to help manage and alleviate various musculoskeletal and mobility issues.

By focusing on the needs of those less fortunate, the camp not only offered immediate relief but also raised awareness about the importance of physiotherapy in maintaining overall well-being. The initiative highlighted the importance of physiotherapy but also demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting those in need, reinforcing the spirit of community service and health equity.

A total of 138 patients attended the physiotherapy camp, taking advantage of the opportunity to receive much-needed care at no cost. This impressive turnout underscored the high demand for accessible physiotherapy services and highlighted the significant impact of the camp on the community.
