Rahuri - The Department of Entomology at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri, has released an official notification inviting applications for three (03) posts of Young Professional-II (YP-II). The appointments will be made on a temporary and contractual basis under the national project on pesticide residues and contaminants.

Candidates applying for the YP-II post must possess a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Agriculture Chemicals, Entomology, Food Science & Technology, or Food Technology from a recognised university or institute. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in pesticide residue analysis laboratories accredited as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017, along with hands-on experience in advanced analytical instruments such as LC-MS/MS or GC-MS/MS.

The selected candidates will be responsible for the collection of agricultural samples from farms and APMC markets under MPKV  jurisdiction, laboratory analysis of samples using standard methodologies and preparations of analytical reports. The position requires full-time engagement as the Pesticide Residue Laboratory, Department of Entomology, MPKV, Rahuri.

The post carries a fixed monthly remuneration of ₹42,000 as per ICAR guidelines. The initial appointment will be for 6 months, which may be extended in further six-months period subject to satisfactory performance and age criteria. The minimum age limited 21 years and the maximum is limited 45 years.

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Eligible candidates will be called for an interview and must produce original certificates for verification.
