CM inaugurates Rajiv Gandhi Centre of Advanced Technology

- Youths will get training in advanced technology through world class finishing school - Tech graduates will get up to 6-month training in emerging IT tech

 

Jaipur,:   . Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the Rajiv Gandhi Centre of Advanced Technology in Jaipur on Saturday. He said that the centre would give an opportunity to the youths of the state to learn advanced and emerging technologies in fields like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cyber ​​Security, Robotics, Machine Learning and Data Analytics. Youths will be trained by experts from IT majors. This will create excellent employment opportunities which will help youth play an important role in the development of the state. He said that it is the state government's objective to ensure that the benefits of the public welfare schemes reach the remotest part of the state through IT.

The Chief Minister said that the inauguration of R-CAT is a true tribute the father of India's IT revolution Shri Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary. Shri Rajiv Gandhi had dreamt of bringing the country into the category of developed nations through IT during his tenure. It is the result of his vision that the world today recognises the talent of Indian youth in the field of IT. Shri Gehlot visited the institute and interacted with the students and teachers.

Praising the work of companies providing advanced training to the students at the institute, Shri Gehlot said the state government was working with them in excellent tandem. More companies will be linked to the institute soon. He said that IT has an important role in providing responsive, transparent and accountable administration. Information about various government schemes is now easily accessible to the general public through the Jan Sampark portal.

Rajasthan an IT hub now

The Chief Minister said that major IT companies like Oracle, VMware, SAS, RedHat, Cisco and Autofina are running training programmes as training partners in the institute with advanced equipment, experienced trainers and world class infrastructure. At present, 185 students are availing free benefit of training programmes at the institute. The centre is functioning as a finishing school for imparting technical skills to the youth, working professionals and government employees.

Shri Gehlot said to strengthen the IT sector in Rajasthan, construction of Rs 650 crore Fintech University will soon begin in Jodhpur. Apart from this, institutes of IT education will soon be established in the name of Rajiv Gandhi at divisional headquarters.

Representatives of companies like Oracle, RedHat, Cisco, VMware, SAS and Autofina lauded the exemplary initiative of the state government. They said the establishment of R-CAT would prove to be a boon for the youths of the state.

Chief Secretary Smt. Usha Sharma said that this is a historic day for the IT sector in the state. Principal Secretary Finance Shri Akhil Arora said that IT has become a strong medium for social empowerment in urban and rural areas. Anil Agarwal, Chairman, Vedanta Group and Information Technology experts from all over the country were present.
