Mahendergarh : Cleanliness drive on the occasion of Swachhata Hi Sewa, Special Campaign 3.0 was organized on 01 Oct 2023 by the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh. The theme of the event was “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta” and cleanliness through Shramdaan & Jan Bhagidari. Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar of the University  initiated, participated and emphasized the importance of cleanliness. He said once cleanliness will come in a daily practice in everyone’s life, that day vision of Swachhata Hi Sewa will be accomplished. Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sushma Yadav also participated and graced the event.  She highlighted the good hygiene practices in ancient times and also pointed out the importance of cleanliness.

Prof. Neelam Sangwan, Chairperson, Dean SIAS, and Dean Research appreciated the initiative taken by the Central University of Haryana. Dr. Tarun Kumar from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences was appointed as the nodal officer for Swachhata Hi Sewa Abhiyaan.  The students from the various departments actively participated and took pledges for cleanliness. Moreover, faculties, non-teaching staff, and cleaners all have participated in the pledge to ensure a clean Bharat. Prof. Sunil Kumar, Registrar of the University contributed in the cleanliness campaign along with the employees in the Transit Office of the University in Gurugram. They all participated in “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta” cleanliness drive and clean the University campus. Cleanliness drive was also conducted in the hostels, departments and offices of the University. On this occasion, Dr. Manisha Pandey, Dr. Neelam Yadav, Dr. Kanti Prakash Sharma, Prof. Surender Singh, Dr. Pawan Kumar, Dr. Pardeep Kumar, Mr. Jitender Mor, Mr. Amarjeet, Mr. Mukesh Yadav, and Dr. Jaipal were present and actively participated.
