CLAT 2026 Results Declared Attendance Crosses 96 Percent with Strong Female Participation

New Delhil. : The Consortium of National Law Universities has officially declared the results of the Common Law Admission Test CLAT 2026, reflecting strong nationwide participation and competitive performance by candidates. The results are available on the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

CLAT 2026 was conducted on December 7, 2025, across 126 examination centres located in 25 states and four Union Territories. Nearly 92,000 candidates had registered for the examination, with attendance crossing 96 percent, indicating sustained interest in legal education across the country. Female candidates accounted for 57 percent of the total examinees, along with notable participation from transgender candidates.

The examination serves as the gateway for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes offered by National Law Universities and affiliated institutions. Candidates’ answer scripts were evaluated and verified on December 14 and 15, 2025, following which the final results were approved by the Governing Body of the Consortium on December 16, 2025.

As per the official notification, the undergraduate CLAT 2026 paper consisted of five sections with 120 questions, of which one question was withdrawn. Final evaluation was carried out for 119 marks. The postgraduate examination also included 120 questions, with minor changes in the final answer key, and was evaluated out of 119 marks.

Candidates can check their results by visiting consortiumofnlus.ac.in, clicking on the CLAT 2026 result link on the homepage, and logging in using their registered mobile number and password. After submission, the result and scorecard can be viewed, downloaded, and saved for future reference.
