CIET-NCERT to Organise Online Training on eLearning from September 14–18, 2026

New Delhi: “Digital learning” is no longer a stand-in for “classroom learning.” For teachers and institutions, knowledge of the best pedagogical practices and digital tool integration within a given teaching-learning context is becoming increasingly important. With the growing need recognised, the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT, under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, has planned to conduct an Online Training on “eLearning” from September 14 to 18, 2026.

The proposed five-day training aims to provide participants with the necessary skills to understand and use technology-enabled learning. CIET-NCERT offers online training to build the capacity of its participants and to integrate teaching and learning with technology.

Why the eLearning Training Matters

CIET-NCERT explains that its online training is designed to encourage the use of technology in teaching and learning and is aligned to the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020. It focuses on expanding the use of technology to enable access, address language barriers and to improve planning and management of education. PM eVIDYA Introduces Another Digital Learning Option

Learners are now encouraged to use the PM eVIDYA mobile app and access DTH TV channels 6-12. Adding this mobile- and television-based access is important because digital education is not restricted to online learning.

The digital education ecosystem in India is based on a combination of online education, pre-recorded lessons in mobile apps, and TV programs. These various access points are necessary in order to fulfil the goal of making education available to everyone.
