New Delhi, 23rd September 2025 : The Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) in collaboration with the Faculty of Life Sciences, Jamia Millia Islamia, successfully organized a workshop titled “HealthTech Disruption: Epigenetics, Startups & the $Trillion Innovation Wave.” The workshop aimed to highlight the emerging opportunities at the intersection of biotechnology, epigenetics, and entrepreneurial innovation, inspiring students, researchers, and entrepreneurs to explore the trillion-dollar potential of HealthTech.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Shibashish Giri, Dy. Head, Applied Stem Cell Biology and Cell Technology, Leipzig University, Germany a renowned specialist in epigenetics and endogenous stem cell research and therapy. Dr. Giri shared his pioneering work on the identification and reactivation of local stem cells of skin, hair, liver, heart, and brain, as well as his breakthrough therapies in vitiligo skin re-pigmentation, hair regrowth, and cellular detoxification. His address emphasized how epigenetics and regenerative medicine are reshaping the future of personalized healthcare.

The event was attended by faculty members, researchers, students, and industry professionals, and concluded with an engaging Q&A session where participants discussed startup ideas, funding opportunities, and translational research pathways in the HealthTech domain.
